Today’s the Day!

Today’s the day.
As Nike would say, “Just Do It!” I am. I’m not waiting any longer. It’s just time to jump in and swim. A little scary, and whole lot exciting! I’m launching my blog! Since the beginning of July, I’ve been squeezing in time in my jam-packed life to not just learn how to build a blog, but also actually start building my own blog. I’ve learned a lot. I’ll confidently admit, I still have a lot to learn and to figure out how to implement. But if I wait to launch until I have all that techie stuff figured out and every “t” crossed and “i” dotted, well, I’ll never launch my blog.

So today’s the day.

Just so you know, my blog is a work in progress…just like me! I’m still developing my personal brand, which I will say right now, be prepared for this blog to change over time (not what I’m going to write about, but the way the blog looks). That is a good thing, by the way.

Actually, I know my blog will continue to develop. I know it will because I am. I’m not the same person I was when I was a teenager, and I’m not who I will be later in life. I guess, that’s the cool thing about being a work in progress. There’s lots to look forward to.

So it is with my blog. There’s lots to look forward to. I hope you’ll find my blog a place where you can be encouraged and find some joy. I hope you’ll discover true inspiration and how to persevere through tough stuff and not let go of hope. I hope my faith will give you strength to endure whatever you are going through. I also hope you will find joy and laughter through the words and stories I share.

Today’s the day to just do it. The time has come to be strong and courageous. As you will see, my blog launching is not just about launching a blog, it’s about so much more.

I’m launching my dream, my calling. I am a writer. I am an encourager. Today’s the day to truly launch my writing career.

There’s no greater risk than being transparent with others and that’s what I’m doing today. I’m beginning a journey of transparently sharing my writing publicly. Why?

When God calls us to embrace His divine purpose for our lives, we need to heed the call. I’ve been reluctant too long. (I’ll actually write about that very problem some time soon.)

One thing I truly believe, I have a purpose for God. I believe you do too. I believe God’s Word:
“For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago,” (Ephesians 2:10 NLT)

Part of my purpose is to write.

So, today’s the day I really start.

And so I dedicate this blog to my God. If it weren’t for You, Lord Jesus, I’d never be doing this. May You be glorified and may all who read what I write be blessed. Thanks for making me me and for giving me a really cool purpose in life. All my love, always. Michelle 🙂
