True Story Ahead!
Last night, I met my husband at a local pizza place for our date night. We requested our daughter to be our server. We love doing that! 🙂 I had just come from spending the day in my writers studio. What a fabulous day I had. I actually made progress on some techie things for my blog. I was excited to share this progress with my husband, when all of a sudden, my daughter firmly counseled me:

Date night etiquette matters no matter how long you’ve been dating someone (and I’ve been dating my husband for over three decades). We communicate, “You’re important to me” when we set our phones down and pay attention to the one we’re with. What a great reminder of the importance of true facetime!
Guess what I did?

Hi All! Thanks for visiting my blog! I want to apologize to those of you who received my email that notified you of my newest post. Apparently, I haven’t learned enough “techie” stuff just yet. Those “special codes” should not have shown up. Oh the irony of it all! 🙂 Thanks for hanging in there with me while I learn.

I didn’t get any special codes–just the email that a new post was up. Glad you enjoyed the date night 🙂

Such a great reminder, Michelle. I’ve been dating my hubby for close to thirty decades (28 years) and only recently has modern media become an issue. I like how Jon Acuff says that real retina time is the real face time. (slightly paraphrased). 🙂

I love that “retina time!” Congrats on 28 years! That’s an accomplishment. Dates are fun, aren’t they? And they shouldn’t stop no matter how long we’re married. 🙂
