We are starting a new day. How we spend our day matters. I like this quote from author Annie Dillard, “How we spend our days is, of course, how we spend our lives.” Unlike Annie Dillard who claims on her website that she has no religion, I do. Perhaps I should clarify, I don’t have a religion. I have a relationship. I am a believer in and follower of Jesus Christ. How I spend my days matters. How we choose to spend our day matters. Everything we do is a choice to either help or hinder.
I am compelled to share Christ’s love and the news of His saving grace so that others may believe and follow Him too. I want to help others come to know who Jesus is. I want to bring His truth to people. Jesus is kind, loving, and compassionate. Believing in Jesus is not a hindrance, but how I spend my days may be a hindrance. We have a new day right now. We can choose to spend it helping or hindering. We just celebrated Easter, the resurrection of Jesus Christ. As a believer in Jesus I can choose to bless His name and share the wonderful news of His saving work, or I can go about my day and not mention it at all. I decided to mention it today. How I choose to spend my day matters. How you choose to spend your days matters too. The choice is ours to make. Are we going to help or hinder today? Are we going to bless Jesus’ name and share the news of who He is or are we not? How are you going to spend your day today?

Matthew 28:18Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me. 19Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, 20and teaching them to obey all that I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”…
