Happy Monday, everyone! Okay, so today, I decided rather than some deep theological revelation, I’d keep it simple and short. If you want to be happy today, sing! Turn on some upbeat happy songs and have a sing-a-long. This may seem too simple, because it is!
Happiness is a choice. We can either choose to be happy, or we can choose to be grumpy.
If you are a grump this morning, STOP! Your grumpiness has a ripple effect not just on yourself, but also on those around you.
Instead, let’s have our ripple effect be ripples of happiness today.
The Bible says if anyone is happy then let them sing songs of praise.
I add, if anyone is grumpy, let them start singing songs of praise.
I want to send ripples of happiness to everyone I come in contact with today. This means, I’m going to be singing all the way to work. Remember the seven dwarfs? Yeah, they whistled as they worked. I think that’s a really good idea.
If you want to be happy, sing. If you are happy, sing.
One more word of advice, smile! You’d be surprised how smiling and singing together help us to have a happy day!
May our songs of praise fill the space inside of us and around us with happiness.
Scripture:
James 5:13b – Is anyone happy? Let them sing songs of praise.
