The Bible tells us morning by morning God wakens us and instructs us. I’m back in God’s Word this morning and what do I read? Ask. Seek. Knock. Now that’s some instruction. In fact, this is some hardcore action God wants us to take. Today! If you ever wonder how to go about living for Christ, I have three words of advice: Ask. Seek. Knock.
I have a number of deeply held beliefs. One of these is the power of prayer. No one, no how, ever will be able to convince me that prayer doesn’t matter. Prayer does matter.
Prayer is powerful.
I believe God’s Word is the truth, and the Bible tells us that the prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.
I believe a life without prayer is a life without power. I want all of us to have a life with power. The only way we will is if we tap into Jesus.
Jesus is our power.
So when Jesus Himself tells us to Ask. Seek. Knock. I believe He will answer us. I believe we will find. I believe we will receive. I believe He will open the doors.
How can I believe this? He tells us we will find, receive, and the door will be opened.
Friends, I followed God’s instruction this morning. I’ve prayed some powerful prayers for people I love. I believe God will answer. He will open the doors.
The devil better pack his bags and start running because Michelle obeyed Jesus’ instructions this morning. I asked. I sought. I knocked!
I hope you will too.
Ask. Seek. Knock.
Scripture:
Isaiah 50:4 – The Sovereign Lord has given me a well-instructed tongue, to know the word that sustains the weary. He wakens me morning by morning, wakens my ear to listen like one being instructed.
Matthew 7:7-8 – Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.
James 5:16b – The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.
