We’re influenced by who we spend time with, what we listen to, what we read, what we think about, where we go, what we hear. We do and are who we are because we’re influenced in some way. We open ourselves up to influence. We choose. My question is, are we willing to change some of these things to be more fully committed to God?
True Story Ahead
This morning the devotional I’m reading led me again to 2 Chronicles 16:9 and again I was reminded God watches His children:
“For the eyes of the LORD range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him.”
As I sat at my desk, reading these words, I heard the quiet voice of God ask me, “Are you willing to change?”
At some point in our lives we have to choose to let go of some things because they hinder us, they can slow us down, or prevent us from becoming fully committed to God.
There’s a children’s Bible song I used to sing with my children when they were little. It’s a song that encourages us to be careful what we see, what we hear, what we do, where we go, and what we say because our Heavenly Father is looking at us.
Interesting how this song came to mind today. I haven’t thought about this song in years and yet it popped into my head. That’s what I call a message from God.
Encouragement for All of Us
Are we willing to change something in our lives to become more fully committed to God?
In case you’re wondering. I did answer God. My answer is “Yes! I am willing to change to be more fully committed to You.”
So, friends, I leave you with this song today. May it be a reminder to all of us that we need to be careful what we choose to influence us. May we remember God Himself is watching us. He’s looking for those who are fully committed to Him.
O Be Careful, Little Eyes
O be careful little eyes what you see
O be careful little eyes what you see
There’s a Father up above
And He’s looking down in love
So, be careful little eyes what you see
O be careful little ears what you hear
O be careful little ears what you hear
There’s a Father up above
And He’s looking down in love
So, be careful little ears what you hear
O be careful little hands what you do
O be careful little hands what you do
There’s a Father up above
And He’s looking down in love
So, be careful little hands what you do
O be careful little feet where you go
O be careful little feet where you go
There’s a Father up above
And He’s looking down in love
So, be careful little feet where you go
O be careful little mouth what you say
O be careful little mouth what you say
There’s a Father up above
And He’s looking down in love
So, be careful little mouth what you say

Hi Tamara! What a fun song it is indeed. I’m still so amazed to know that God watches us. His eyes roam the earth for those who are committed to Him. Let’s stay committed! 🙂
