It’s time to just say it. Jesus is God. Jesus is the One True God. Jesus is the Savior of the world. Jesus. Can we proclaim His name out loud for the whole world to know Him? He loves us. He died for us. He gives life, breath, and everything else. Jesus is eternal life. There is no one else who can do for us what Jesus can do. There is no one else who is what Jesus is. Jesus is the true God and eternal life.
For a couple of months now, I’ve been working my way through the book of Isaiah. I’ve always wanted to understand Isaiah more. There are 66 chapters in Isaiah. So far, I’ve read the first 22 chapters. This is not a hurry-up-and-get-it-done reading project for me. This is a year-long deeper dive.
Turns out the book of Isaiah has some pretty tough messages, but also some great words of hope. Isaiah tells us about our history and our future.
What I’m learning is that what we are going through today in present moment is not so unique.
There has always been times of hardship, destruction, and rebellion. But if we focus on that, we will be distraught. We will be afraid. We will be depressed. And we may even give up on hope.
I have some good news to share. His name is Jesus. He is our hope.
Isaiah tells us a lot about Jesus long before He was born. Jesus is the One who redeems. Jesus is the One True God.
We need to proclaim the name of Jesus!
Salvation
We need to remember who Jesus is, focus on Him and what He promises to us. If we confess with our mouths that Jesus is Lord and believe in our hearts that God the Father raised Him from the dead, then we are saved (Romans 10:8-10).
We are saved by Jesus. We are free from destruction of sin when we put our faith in Jesus.
We need to proclaim the name of Jesus. He is the One True God. He is eternal life.
“We know also that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know him who is true. And we are in him who is true by being in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life.”
(1 John 5:20, NIV)
I can’t think of anything better than being saved from all the destruction of this world and living eternally with Jesus in heaven, which according to the Bible is going to be an amazing place to live. There will be no more sin. There will be no more division. There will be no more riots, violence, and Covid-19. There will be no more human trafficking. There will be no more tears.
People will actually like each other. People will get along with one another. People will help one another. People will rejoice Every. Single. Day. for Jesus. We will worship Jesus. We will sing and dance for Jesus. We will praise Jesus.
We can do all of that now. We don’t have to wait until heaven to live like Jesus wants us to live. We can be in awe of Him now.
Awe of God
Do you know how much focusing on the wonder of Jesus changes you? Just saying His name out loud a few times increases hope. Try it.
We were not created to focus on the horror of the world. Our enemy wants us to, but Jesus says to focus on the good stuff, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. (Philippians 4:8)
I can’t think of anything better to focus on that meets all that criteria than Jesus Himself. He is wonderful, mighty, powerful, loving, kind, and the Savior of the world.
Jesus is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable, excellent, and praiseworthy. Not just in heaven, but right here on earth.
Friends, we need to focus on Jesus. We need proclaim the name of Jesus. The whole world needs to know about Him and how awesome He is.

I know I’ve encouraged this before. As long as I have breath in my lungs, I will continue to encourage you to focus on the good stuff, to celebrate the power of Jesus, and to proclaim the name of Jesus. We can’t ever stop, friends.
The world in all its trouble, needs Jesus. They need to know about Him. It’s our job to make His name known, to shine His light in this dark and afraid world.
We need to proclaim the name of Jesus!
Call to Action
Today, I have two requests from you:
- Proclaim the name of Jesus. You can do this privately, publicly, or both. I encourage out loud in some way though so that our Enemy hears God’s kids proclaiming the awe of Jesus.

Jesus is King! This message hits home for me I’m so many ways right now. Jesus gives me hope for my future but also for Lucas’s future. God created us in his image and to him we are beautiful and loved. How wonderful it is to be loved by the Lord and know that we will have eternal life through Jesus! God is good, all of the time!
