I only have one purpose: to live the purpose of Jesus. I may not do it right every day, but I’m still living for the world to see Jesus because Jesus is my purpose. Who and what we worship matters. I worship Jesus. Today, you’ll read some raw and real feelings I’ve had this week.
What you’re about to read came pouring out of me as I listened to worship music. Every day this week, I’ve stopped during painful times and worshipped Jesus. Do you know what happened?
All the stuff weighing me down lifted off me.
The Enemy lost his power.
Jesus rescued me Every. Single. Day.
He reminded me that He is my hiding place.
He reminded me He protects me from trouble.
He surrounded me with songs of deliverance.
Jesus did that.
Jesus!
This is the Message of My Heart
Jesus is my purpose.
Even if I screw up, Jesus is perfect.
Even if I fail, Jesus never fails.
Even if I don’t do anything right, Jesus is right.
It’s not about me. It’s about Jesus. Yet, I want to live so that people can see Jesus in me.
I’m sorry for all the times, I’ve not shown Your light through me.
I’m sorry for all the times I’ve let my sin shine through and hurt others.
I’m sorry for not living up to what You want me to live up to, Jesus.
If nothing else in my life, I want others to see Jesus.
Today seems like a good day, a really good day to worship Jesus.
Jesus is my purpose.
It is fitting for His people to praise Him. It’s time to sing songs to Jesus, to praise Him, and to lift up a heart of gratefulness to the One who saved us.
Praise Him with me.
Jesus, You are magnificent!
Jesus, You are our saving grace!
Jesus, You bless us when we don’t deserve it!
Jesus, You take us in no matter how dirty we are.
Jesus, You clean us up not just once, but every time we need it.
Jesus, You are Savior, Lord, King of Kings and our Rescuer.
Jesus is my purpose.
I lift my hands to You, Jesus.
I worship only You.
You are God!
Jesus, may You see the smile You’ve put in my heart. May others see Your smile on my face.
Jesus, plant You in me. Plant Your love. Plant Your joy. Plant Your peace. Plant Your patience. Plant Your kindness. Plant Your goodness. Plant Your faithfulness. Plant Your gentleness. Plant Your control.
Make all Your fruit grow in me. Weed out the sin. Weed it out, Lord, as only You can.
Grow in me all the things of You so that others will see You.
My desire is to live for the world to see You, Jesus.
Jesus is my purpose. I worship Jesus and no one else.
Your Word says that You are the Mighty God, the LORD, who speaks and summons the earth.
From the rising of the sun to the place where it sets.
Your Word says that You are perfect in beauty.
Your Word says that our God comes and will not be silent.
LORD God, help Your children to not be silent either.
Let us shout Your name: JESUS!
You are the Savior of the World. You died for us. You loved us that much. Your love is sometimes so unfathomable. Help us to grasp it.
Shine You in and through us.
Help the world to see You, Jesus.
Jesus, You are our purpose.
Let us worship You.
Let us silent the devil and his demons.
Let us lift our voices and proclaim JESUS!
Let us worship You out loud Every. Single. Day.
Let us dance for You,
Let us sing for You.
Let us talk for You.
Let us tell the world who You are.
Let us spread the good news of Jesus.
It’s All About Jesus
Friends, no matter how much we screw up, Jesus is still on His throne.
It’s all about Jesus. He’s the One we need. He is God. The One and Only God. Let’s worship Him today. Every day. Every hour if we have to. Praising Him silences the enemy of our souls.
Praising and worshipping Jesus changes us, makes us lesser and Jesus more in our hearts and minds.
This has been a rough week for me. I’m telling you, I’ve been knocked down every day. And every day, I get back up by worshipping Jesus. Remembering He is my God, and I love Him no matter what.
I can have trouble every day of my life, but when I begin to worship Jesus, He shows up. He is close.
His words says that when we draw close to Jesus, He draws close to us. Worshipping Jesus draws Him close, so close the enemy can’t stay. He flees.
Even if you are not feeling down or in trouble, worship Jesus. But when you are knocked down, sad, depressed, feeling anxious, tired, and troubled, that is a warning sign that it’s time to worship the One and Only God: Jesus.
As I close today, I want to share some lyrics from a Casting Crowns (featuring Matthew West) song I listened to this week that inspired me greatly. He wrote what I’ve felt and believed for decades. I love when you find a new song that’s a song of your own heart.
This song sings of my purpose. I pray you are lifted up, reenergized, and reminded, as Christians, we are not living for ourselves, we are living for the world to see Jesus.
Cause I’m just a nobody trying to tell everybody
Song by Casting Crowns featuring Matthew West, “Nobody”
All about Somebody who saved my soul
Ever since You rescued me, You gave my heart a song to sing
I’m living for the world to see nobody but Jesus
Jesus is our purpose.

Jesus is so good. I just love sharing about Him. May Jesus Himself continue to be your faithful Friend. 🙂
Such a good reminder today, Michelle. Ryan (Our adult son with disabilities) and I just read this blog and it greatly encouraged us as we have been a little discouraged lately (or maybe a lot). We will choose to praise Jesus regardless of our circumstances and believe that He has the best in store for our lives. Thanks again!
Oh, this makes me so happy to hear you were both greatly encouraged. 🙂
Thinking about heaven helps me think about things that are noble and right. Things praiseworthy, lovely, admirable, and true. AND, Jesus will be there and He’s all that and more!
May we all choose to praise Jesus regardless of our circumstances. He’s got great things waiting for us.
with joy,
Michelle
