Okay, so today I’m making up a word. Let’s just get that out there from the beginning. Part of being a writer means we have to take risks in our writing and sometimes that means we have to make up words to communicate exactly what we’re saying.
Jesus is The Resourcer!
I work in a human resources office. We are the source employees come to get many resources to help them on their employment journey.
This morning I was thinking about how Jesus is our Chief of Human Resources, if you will. There is no other who can meet all of our needs the way He can. Hence, my new word, my new description of who Jesus is to me.
Jesus is my Resourcer!
Here’s just a few of things He provides for us should we seek Him out:
- Source of supply
“And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:19, HCSB). - Source of support
“Love bears (supports) all things” (1 Corinthians 7:13). - Source of information and expertise
“For the LORD gives wisdom;from his mouth come knowledge and understanding” (Proverbs 2:6, ESV). - Ability to meet and handle any situation
“Jesus replied, ‘What is impossible with man is possible with God’” (Luke 18:27, NIV). - Source of relief
“Come to Me, all of you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28, HCSB). - Source of restoration
“Now the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ Jesus, will personally restore, establish, strengthen, and support you after you have suffered a little” (1 Peter 5:10, HCSB).
If you find yourself this Advent season needing some resources such as support, knowledge, relief and restoration, go to Jesus. He has the ability to meet and handle any and every situation you may be going through.
Jesus is The Resourcer!
I recommend stopping by His office at least once daily and have a sit-down conversation with Him. Make your requests known to Him. Go to the One who actually can provide all that you need to help you on your life journey.
May the Lord Jesus bless you today.

How wonderful I love the picture of stopping by His office everyday stepping into the throne room, waving hello to everyone in His office and kneeling down at His feet…….Thamks for our new word.
