Good day, friends! So here’s what’s on my heart and mind today. Don’t give up! No matter what, don’t give up. I don’t know what you may be going through that’s difficult and is challenging you, but I plead with you. Stick it out. Continue. Endure. Persevere.
Do you want to know why you need to keep at it? Because our character is being developed. And hope is waiting for you. If we give up when the going gets tough, how does that benefit you or anyone else?
So then, I will say, last week was a tough week for me. Maybe you noticed I didn’t write any Morning Musings. While I can’t say what I endured, I can say I stuck it out. I didn’t give up. I persevered.
Do you know what God did for me? He showed me some things inside of me that He wants me to keep working on. He also brought to light some things that needed to go. He revealed the importance, once again, of enduring through tough times.
Some day at the end of my life, I want my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, to look me in the face, and I want to look Him in the face, and I want to hear Him say to me, “Well done, Michelle. Thank you for persevering. Your character has developed into what I desired for you. Hope did not disappoint you. I am proud of you for sticking it out, and I know how hard it was at times. Well done, my child.”
Friends, we have a new day to begin living again. Each morning we are given an amazing gift to choose to live doing good, pursuing God, living intentionally to serve Him to the best of our abilities. Let’s not disappoint God, others, or ourselves. Don’t give up. Keep going. We have lots to look forward to today and in the days to come.
