Did you know there’s a difference between belief and faith? Faith includes both trusting and believing. In Hebrews 11:1, the Bible tells us, “Faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.” Matthew Henry’s Commentary says that faith “is a firm persuasion and expectation that God will perform all that he has promised to us in Christ.” Friends, our faith is our confidence in Jesus, and our faith is our shield in this world.
