Look out Devil! There’s a revival coming! This morning, Jesus revived my weary and discouraged soul. He set my heart ablaze again. For weeks the Devil has been attacking me. Yesterday, one of his fiery darts struck me, and I went down hard. Discouragement set in. Doubt set in.
Ah, my friends, this morning our faithful and fierce King Jesus, reignited the warrior within me and helped me to stand up and face my Enemy.

Yesterday, (and this had absolutely nothing to do with the trouble at the Capitol), was a hard day for me personally. I started the day troubled and overwhelmed. I’m working on my first book proposal. It’s due January 25. I’m feeling intense pressure so much so that I started doubting what God Himself has given me to write for Him.
This morning, He took me by the hand, stood me up, shook me off, handed me my sword, and charged me like the Commander He is.
Through Joshua 6, Isaiah 43, and Erwin McManus’ book, The Last Arrow, Jesus Himself called me to action, to fight for my book proposal and my book.
“Advance Michelle! I have already delivered this book into your hands. It’s time to believe again. No one can be snatched from My hand. When I choose to act, nothing and no one can reverse it. ‘Don’t abdicate your God-given responsibility.’ Your choices matter. Stand up. Stand your ground. Face our Enemy, and fight.”
It’s time for me to advance.
Stand Your Ground and Fight
After an intense pep talk from my Commander, He provided instructions for me for the next 18 days. I share these with you because it’s my way of standing my ground and fighting our Enemy.
God has assigned me to write a book called God Himself: Discover the One Who Personally Restores You, and Makes You Strong, Firm, and Steadfast. (Whether it stays this title or not, this is what I want it to be called.) Writing this book proposal is fighting my Enemy, friends.
I have 18 days to finish writing and finalize my book proposal. I also have to work full time. This is a big task because while I’ve been working for nine weeks already on my book proposal, I’ve experienced many setbacks. The Enemy’s attacks have held me back and prevented me from pushing forward.
It’s time for me to advance.
Pause
I will be disengaging from social media until January 25. This means after this particular post, I will not be writing any more until after I’ve turned in my proposal.
I will not be engaging with anyone on any social media platforms during these 18 days. Jesus wants me focused on fighting my fight. Social media has been one thing the Devil has used recently to discourage me, get me distracted, confused, and doubt my God-given responsibility.
Do not worry, I will be back because I’m sure Jesus has big plans for the future with my engagement with social media. This is a just pause for me.
Future
As Erwin McManus wrote, “If your choices have any effect on the future at all, then you need to stand your ground. You need to decide to stop running in fear and turn around and fight the good fight” (The Last Arrow, p. 141).
While I have not been running in fear, the Enemy has caused me to get flustered and frazzled. It’s time for me to stand my ground, write and fight, because my choices will impact the future.
There’s a revival coming, friends. It starts with each one of us. Jesus revived my heart, soul, and mind again this morning. He stirred up His warrior. He’s charged me to advance. I will.
What I want to leave you with today and encourage you to think about right now is:
- What choices are you making that will impact your future?
- Are you living your God-given responsibility?
- Are you letting the Devil pummel you, discourage you, distract you, and/or confuse you?
- Are you willing to stand and fight?
- Is it your time to pause?
- Is now the time for you to advance?
We serve a mighty God, who is Himself a Warrior. Let Him stir up His zeal in you again, so that you can stand your ground and fight our Enemy.
May we all say, “Look out Devil! There’s a Revival coming!”

I did successfully complete my book proposal and submitted it on Jan. 25. Now I wait.
Whatever the outcome this time, I am still convinced God has called me to write and be an author. In His perfect timing He will open the right doors at the right time. Praying you are experiencing His many blessings as you have recently changed your path. I’m excited for you.
